A Good Kind Temper

Origami brooch made on Sunday

Have a heart that never hardens,
a temper that never tires,
a touch that never hurts.

Charles Dickens

Temper – calm disposition or state of mind, mood or humour: a good temper.

The photograph has nothing to do with the quote. I just wanted to show something to rest your eyes on.

  1. The thing with craft stuff it can take you over if you’re not careful. So compelling. But not a reason for not engaging with it. I think it just so amazing that something like the flowers can be made out of such ordinary and available materials. Materials as well as know-how, patience and a good instructor.

The quote is good too. The word temper hit me when I first read it in my diary because one tends not to think of it other than ‘bad temper’.

I guess spring is a long way off where you are living. I’m seeing the first daffs in the last few days.

  2. Hi Rev Mugo, no spring has sprung here in Shetland. There are daffs coming out and there’s flowering currant in the garden, many birds are back in action and on a good day we’re pushing 8c!

Most ‘stuff’ takes over me, a thing I need to watch.
