She said it was a Quiet Night, so I’m quiet.

Being quiet.

Sounds – sights – smells – silence. All together quiet.

Everything quiet – still. And still the sound of water.

Remembered. In silence – in a grave.

  1. Bit of a blooper on the spelling of quiet which Iain kindly pointed out to me. So glad I was up late reading the Manchester Hermits blog and caught Iain’s email.

    It’s been quite and quiet night!

  2. Reminds me of an anthem I sang when I was a chorister many dacades ago;

    “Comes at times,
    A stillness as of even’ –
    As when the waves break lightly on the shore.
    (Break lightly).

    “Comes then the dawn,
    That gladsome awakening.”
