The Buddha’s Enlightenment

Bhodi_Leaf_and_Star_0.jpg
Shakyamuni Buddha sat under the Bodhi Tree, and was Enlightened on seeing the morning star.

This image speaks of faith. The immediacy of faith, in this very moment. The morning star was just what was there, it’s not gone away.

We celebrate the Buddha’s Enlightenment tomorrow.

  1. I used google to check out various Buddhist calendars and up came:

and I note: Sources of information [1] Rev. Mugo White, email, 16 Jan 2006.

I can’t recall how I stumbled upon Jade Mountains but it will probably have been a Google search.

Last night friends and I noted just how the internet has changed the availability of information and how when we were at school there was none of it. Amazing.
