Inspiring Confidence

Confidence in the landscape – Norfolk.

Freedom from doubt; belief in yourself and your abilities.
Ooookaaaa.

A state of confident hopefulness that events will be favourable.
You bet!

A trustful relationship.
Like that word trustful.

My thought this evening is, What is it that inspires confidence? I’m thinking that it’s confidence itself which inspires confidence. What a gift that is, and we all have the capacity to give it.

An after thought as midnight approaches…confidence that inspires seems to have a quality of steady humility. Yep, that describes the mechanic I had dealings with the other day! And you know, I told him so, told him, You inspire me with confidence. Thank you.

  1. I liked this. Inspiring confidence in others through “steady humility.” Not what I’ve been taught about leadership, where one is encouraged to appear confident even when one is uncertain or afraid.

This led me to thinking about how seeing things as they are reduces fear which, leads to confidence – perhaps? Maybe that’s the way to achieve steady humility – clear seeing?

    I hope you are well.

  2. gist, yes. Thanks Rob. I think you have raised another area I’d like to make into a post so I’ll just be brief here and write something longer in response to your comment above.

The photographer I mention in a post on the 1st conveyed a sense of steady humility. Perhaps thats what comes about when one climbs mountains! Or in similar ways overcomes difficulties consistently, over time. Sounds like life don’t it!
