When I am gone
And the house seems empty
Do not thou,
O plum tree by the eaves
The Spring forget.

  1. Dear Rev. Master Mugo,

I am enjoying all of the tree posts and it reminded me of something. Did you know a single Aspen tree can cover several hundred (if not more) acres? It is one root system from which thousands of separate appearing trees emerge. Reminds me of how we too ‘appear’ separate….

Thank you for your lovely blog, I enjoy being able to catch up with you and your travels.

  2. Beautiful! I just wanted to let you know I read each of your entries but don’t often comment.
I really appreciate your blog and the insight into your practice.

  3. Thanks so much for leaving the comment Anne. Are you from Northern England by any chance? Or from Seattle? Or….somewhere else. I love doing this series of photographs and poems. It reminds me that ‘same old, same old’ need not be stale.

I welcome suggestions for similar series. Please.
