Thomas Merton died 10th December 1968, aged 53.
The other person who died today was, The father of the lady in the coffee shop where I get my morning drink – of cancer. Thanks to Walter for bringing to mind these two deaths.
This message rang true for me at a recent coaching workshop. We practiced coaching each other. I listened to my practice partner talk about her problems. I wanted so much to chime in with advice, but I resisted the urge. Then I marveled at how the woman I was listening too suddenly had room to find her own truth. All I had to do was listen. Her answer was there all along.
I’m trying the technique with my family now. Imagine that!
